Continuing Education
Dr. Griffin views continuing education as an important process of keeping up with advancements in dentistry. He recently completed the three courses offered through the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS). The courses about oral sedation include Oral Sedation Dentistry, Sedation Solutions – Caring for Challenging Patients, and Oral Sedation Dentistry and ACLS Combination. In addition to these three courses, Dr. Griffin has also become certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support(ACLS).
Dr. Griffin also completed a continuing education course to learn about the placement of mini dental implants. Mini dental implants are generally used to support dentures on the lower jaw.
Dr. Griffin also completed a series of Lumineers placement courses. Lumineers offer the patient the chance to gain a brighter, more beautiful smile through a painless procedure that can fix chipped, broken and discolored teeth.
Dentistry From The Heart program
This last spring we hosted a Dentistry From The Heart program at our practice. On May 9, 2008 we cleared our schedules and opened our doors to provide free dental care to people in need. Dentistry From The Heart is a registered non-profit organization that helps dental clinics to provide this service, which has been going strong since its first event in 2001. |
