Dr. Herbert is a 1971 graduate of Coker College. Four years later, he graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with an advanced dental degree. He was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Delta Medical Honor Society. He is a member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association and Pee Dee Dental Society. He is a former member of the Delta Dental Board.

Dr. Herbert is the father of two and has three grandchildren. He enjoys hunting, fishing and golf and is a volunteer for Children’s Dental Health Week.
