John Thomas Hess, DDS graduated with honors from the State University at Stoney Brook School of Medicine. He then went on to graduate from the General Practice Residency Program at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC in June of “07, where he received advanced training in many aspects of dentistry such as implant dentistry, IV conscious sedation, oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Hess then served in the United States Army for 8 years as an intelligence analyst. After his tour of service Dr. Hess relocated to Florence and joined the Advanced Dental Center Team.

Dr. Hess and his wife have 2 children. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Hess enjoys fishing, biking and travel.
